The European Patent Office, in co-operation with the Spanish EU Presidency, the European Commission and the Spanish Patent and Trade Mark Office, is organising the “European Patent Forum and the European Inventor Award 2010” to be held in Madrid on 28th and 29th April 2010

European Patent Forum

Does Europe have the technologies to meet its ambitious renewable energy targets? Are the right conditions in place to facilitate technology transfers? Can Europe profit from the economic opportunities arising? And indeed, is the IP system fit for purpose?

Those are some of the questions the European Patent Forum (EPF) 2010 will try to tackle. Organised by the European Patent Office in co-operation with the Spanish EU Presidency, the European Commission and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, the two-day conference will take place in April in Madrid. Two months before Europe's renewable energy strategy is laid out, the EPF 2010 looks at the present and future of Europe's renewables landscape.

Established in 2006 by the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Commission, the European Inventor Award recognises outstanding inventors from all over the world, from all technical fields and backgrounds - the public, private, academic and non-profit sectors. industry, SMEs/research, non-European countries, and lifetime achievement.
